Acting Associate Provost for Continuing Education

MAJ Hatem Abdine graduated from the California Army National Guard Officer Candidate School as a second Lieutenant in August, 1999. After completing his Transportation Officer Basic Course, he was assigned as a platoon leader in the 2668th Transportation Company. In 2003, he deployed as the Executive Officer for the 1498th Heavy Equipment Transporter Company in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon return, he was assigned as the Commander of the 2622nd Transportation Company. At the same time he managed the California Army National Guard 09L, heritage speaker program.

MAJ Abdine came to DLIFLC in 2010 as the AFPAK Hands Program Manager. His linguistic skills proved valuable for the program.

Following the AFPAK Hands Program, he became the Assistant Provost and Dean of Students for Continuing Education. Currently, he is serving as the Acting Associate Provost for Continuing Education.

MAJ Abdine is an expert on the Middle East and continues to offer his support to Special Operations Command as a regional subject matter expert while at DLI.

His decorations include the Combat Action Badge, Joint Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal.

MAJ Abdine likes to snow board, racquet ball, and scuba dive.
