Aiso Library serves as the academic library for the students, faculty, and staff of the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC).

The Library provides access to a variety of print, electronic, and media resources, approximately 115,000 items in 42 separate foreign language collections. A broad range of formats and subjects can be found in each language collection: grammars, textbooks, cultural and political history, poetry, fiction, film (DVDs), audio-recordings, language programs, flash cards, and games.  A general collection concentrates on linguistics, language teaching resources, and broad regional and cultural histories.

Computer workstations with Internet access are available on a walk-in basis.  At Aiso, computer access includes NIPRNET, DSL, and wireless (for personal computers).  At Chamberlin, computer access includes only NIPRNET access.

Full borrowing privileges are extended only to the DLIFLC community.  For specific privileges contact the Library.  The Library has agreements with other area libraries for reciprocal library use.  Command Language Programs can use their post or school libraries for inter-library loans directly to Aiso.
