Registrar

Welcome to the Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar supports the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) by providing services including DLIFLC transcript preparation, credential verification, graduation certificates, diplomas, and academic awards.

The Office of the Registrar also implements and monitors DLIFLC policies pertaining to academic records and student administration. The Office of the Registrar maintains the official database of student academic information related to DLIFLC diplomas received in a foreign language as well as diplomas received for the completion of the DLIFLC Associate of Arts or Bachelor degrees.

More than 230,000 military service members have graduated from DLIFLC since its inception at the Presidio of San Francisco in 1941, when it was established as an Army Language School just weeks before the U.S. entered World War II. The school moved to the Presidio of Monterey in 1946, where many historic student records are still kept.

The Office of the Registrar is guided by a firm commitment to the following set of core values: academic integrity; respect for privacy and individual rights; openness and trust. We strive to uphold the highest standards and ethics. We are committed to providing the highest quality student support services.
